On July 26, 2004 Summer Education for Children's Teachers was held at the Okcheon Training Institute. Over 670 teachers from the whole country devoted themselves to the education, keeping their smiles despite the hot weather.

At the ceremonial worship service, Mother praised the teachers who had made efforts for the glory of God, caring for children behind the scene, and said, "Childhood needs special love, that you should take care of children with God's love and maternal affection as if you took care of your own children." Mother blessed them, saying, "I hope your names will shine forever in heaven by encouraging one another with words full of love and carrying out the gospel work completely.'

Chief Pastor Joo Cheol Kim emphasized education for the whole man, saying, "The Holy Bible is not deficient at all in teaching children science, philosophy, language and morals. If you raise children on the basis of the Bible, they will grow up as whole men who have wonderful virtues of love and concession and filial piety and will become essential members of society."

From 2 p.m. when it is the hottest in a day, the education for teachers started three classes lasting three hours. At the first class, a lecture about infant and child psychology was given for sixty minutes, through which the teachers could learn how to cope with infants' psychological problems frequently occurring in the area of education. The second class was about children's sports and recreation, and the teachers learned various sports activities and games using little strategies that would help children's spirit of cooperation, independence and creativity. At the third class, teachers from Satbyul Nursery in Seongnam city presented various hand motions for children's concentration and rhythmic movements.

Though the teachers were bathed in perspiration, enduring the hottest summer in ten years, they were full of delight as if they'd returned to their childhood. "Though hot, it feels good. We've learned many things which can be applied to the education for our children. Thanks to God for granting us this good opportunity. We will do our best to educate children to be good and healthy children of God revealing His glory," they said.

"The kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these [little children]" (Mt 19:14). This reporter hopes the teachers will engrave the above word on their hearts and will guard their children who are allowed to enter the heavenly kingdom, until the Last Day.
