On June 4th, 2006, the Sacred Assembly of Pentecost was held in the Churches of God throughout the world. The Church members participated in the Sacred Assembly of Pentecost in order to receive the blessing of the Holy Spirit for which they had earnestly asked for ten days from the Day of Ascension to the Day of Pentecost.

This is the origin of the Day of Pentecost: Moses went up Mount Sinai to receive the Ten CommandmentsGods codified lawthe 50th day after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea at the time of the Exodus. The name of this feast in the Old Testament was the Feast of Weeks; people counted off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then presented an offering of new grain to God. On this day, the Early Church saints were filled with the Holy Spirit and boldly proclaimed Jesus, so that the gospel could be miraculously preached to every nation of the world.

Mother offered a prayer of blessing for the children of Zion; She asked Father to pour out the power of the Holy Spirit like a waterfall upon them, which is seven times stronger than the one Jesus had poured out at His first coming, so that the gospel of the new covenant might be spread like lightning throughout the whole world. Mother took pity on the many souls dying in various parts of the world because of disasters, and prayed that all Her children would save the world by preaching the Savior in this age and the power of the Passover as well.

Chief Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim explained why God gave us the Holy Spirit, saying, The work of the Pentecost in the Early Church is a prophecy that must be accomplished through us, who have received the latter rain of the Holy Spirit in this age. As the Elohists, lets boldly proclaim the Spirit and the Bride, our Savior, to the ends of the earth, so that we can experience and demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit given to us and accomplish the world mission.

After the worship services, Mother gave Her children the blessing of the Holy Spirit and said, Many forefathers of faith performed miraculous signs and wonders, having 100% faith. Likewise, lets accomplish the miracle of world evangelism with 100% faith in the power of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit, as the royal priesthood of heaven. The members earnestly asked for a perfect faith to fulfill the task of world evangelism, and committed themselves to be the witnesses of the Spirit and the Bride by boldly testifying to Them and to manifest the miraculous work of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit.
