“Be Proud to Be the Sons and Daughters of God!”

  • Nation | South Korea
  • Date | February 24, 2008
On February 24, when the air was tinged with spring, the “Scholarship & Student Grant Award Ceremony for the First Half of 2008” was held in the New Jerusalem Temple to encourage students to study hard in the new semester and to help them dream of the future. 117 students including 42 freshmen in middle and high schools participated in this Award Ceremony with their parents. It was a great time to inspire the right faith and the will to study.

Around 1 p.m., before the Award Ceremony began, Mother complimented the students for growing up healthy as God’s sons and daughters, and encouraged them to continue to be faithful to their duties as students at school, church and home. Mother also said, “It is the duty as God’s children to study the Bible every day and put it into practice. When you do your duty, God will set you high above all the nations on earth” (Dt 28:1-6). Mother also blessed them, saying, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but shine God’s glory through your good deeds according to God’s words. By doing this, bear many good fruits and receive God’s abundant love” (Isa 60; Ro 12:1-2).

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim reminded them of how fast the world mission was being accomplished according to the prophecies of the Bible and advised them, saying, “The new covenant we are preaching was established by God who governs the universe. Therefore, be proud of the truth and become great students who set an example for other students through your good deeds as God’s children.”

Soon, the main ceremony began. Eight students from both middle and high schools received scholarships and student grants from Mother. Mother commended the students for their outstanding efforts, and encouraged them to continue to live a faithful life at school as well as at church.

The students were filled with confidence as the children of God Elohim. They were firmly determined to eat spiritual food, the word of God, every day and shine God’s glory through their good deeds.
