Before the autumn feasts that begin with the Feast of Trumpets, three dedication services were held in Korea: the Heungdeok Church and the Seowon Church in Cheongju (Sept. 12, 2017), and the Sangdaewon Church in Seongnam (Sept. 16).

The members in Cheongju were all smiles as they had two occasions to celebrate. The members of the Sangdaewon Church in Seongnam too had great joy of having the dedication service which was held along with the evening service of the Sabbath day. “We’re grateful to God for giving us a blessed time before the autumn feasts when we harvest spiritual crops,” they said.

Mother gave thanks to Heavenly Father for establishing Zions across the world so that many souls would revive through the truth of the new covenant and asked Him to open wider the door to the gospel.

After offering up a prayer, Mother reminded the members of the grace and mighty power of God who protects God’s children from all sorts of disasters happening unexpectedly. “Now, disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes are rampant. The people of the world need the blessing of the Passover more than anything else. Let’s diligently preach the word of salvation with love, taking pity on the souls in danger,” said Mother.

The Seowon Church in Cheongju

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol said for certain that the movement to preach to seven billion people, which is being carried out rapidly, is the “God’s work which is impossible to be done with the power of man.” “Jonah fled from God but repented and walked together with God. As a result, he could lead more than 120,000 people of Nineveh to salvation. In the same way, let’s put the words of the Bible at the center of our hearts and walk with God, so that we may lead all people to salvation,” he said with emphasis.

Through the Bible, he testified about the existence of God the Mother who gives us the water of life with God the Father. He also wished that the Churches of God around the world, including the new temples, would become the gospel in-stitutions that proclaim the Savior (Mt 28:18–20; Jn 15:5; Jnh 4:10–11; Gal 4:26; Ge 1:26–27).

The Heungdeok and the Seowon Churches in Cheongju

Cheongju is known as a city of education in North Chungcheong Province. The Heungdeok Church is located in Biha-dong, Heungdeok-gu, which plays a role of the gateway to Cheongjuro St. from Gyeongbu Expressway. The church building with five stories above ground and two below has architectural beauty. The Seowon Church is located in Sachang-dong, the center of Seowon-gu. It also has five stories above and two below. Its modern and sturdy appearance outstands even at a distance.

The members, who carried out flood relief efforts extensively last July, expressed their determination: “We’ll not only continue to perform volunteer services but also keep preaching the gospel until all 800,000 citizens of Cheongju enjoy the blessing of God.”

Hills spread behind the church, located near Sagimakgol and Seongnam Industrial Complex. In the place where nature is harmonized with the city, it has become a cozy spiritual resting place like a mother’s home. “As a mother lavishes her love on her children, we’d like to give God’s love and comfort to our neighbors who are tired with life,” the members said. For that, they carry out different types of volunteer services such as street cleanups in cooperation with community centers.
