On October 4 (the 15th day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the children of Zion, who had been cleansed from sin through the Day of Atonement, participated in the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Tabernacles in order to receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.

The Feast of Tabernacles is the last of the seven feasts of three times. This feast origi-nated from the prophetical event that the people of Israel thanked God for His atoning grace and gathered enough materials for the building of the tabernacle where the Ten Commandments would be kept, after they had repented of their sin of idolatry and received the second tablets of the Ten Commandments. In the Old Testament times, the people of Israel gathered olive branches and palm branches and built booths with them, and they lived in the booths for seven days, extending a helping hand to one another and rejoicing together. This feast is fulfilled through preaching to find and gather God’s people represented as all kinds of trees and materials for the tabernacle (Lev 23:33-44; Jer 5:14; Eph 2:20).

In this spiritual harvest season to reap the last of the autumn crops, Mother bestowed the blessings of the Holy Spirit abundantly on Her children so that they would all willingly participate in the work of gathering the spiri-tual materials for the heavenly temple. She also prayed that the enthusiasm for preaching would blaze up like fire throughout the world and the gracious work of finding all the scattered members of the heavenly family would be accomplished quickly.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim encouraged the members, “Let’s participate unitedly in the work of gathering the materials for the heavenly temple through the power of the Holy Spirit, just as those whose hearts moved them volunteered for the work necessary to build the tabernacle in the Old Testament Times” (Ex 35:21-26; Ex 36:1-7). He also urged them to fulfill the mission given to them by boldly proclaiming the glory of Jerusalem the Heavenly Mother to the whole world, saying, “King David prepared all the necessary materials for the construction of the temple, and entrusted the task of building the temple to his son Solomon. This indicates that our Heavenly Father, who came in the name of David, prepared the truth about Heavenly Jerusalem and entrusted the glorious work of completing the spiritual temple to us” (1 Chronicles 22 and 28; Gal 4:26).

For seven days from this day, the members held the preaching festival joyfully while asking God for the power of the spiritual harvest. The delightful news that abundant good fruits were being produced through the refreshing latter rain of the Holy Spirit coming from heaven continued to pour in from around the world. Meanwhile, the members greeted the Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles on October 11 (the 22nd day of the seventh day in the sacred calendar), the eighth day after the Feast of Tabernacles.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim emphasized, “The Feast of Tabernacles is a feast that helps us to understand that Heavenly Mother is the source of the water of eternal life and of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain,” and urged the members, “Let us come to Jerusalem our Mother, who is the reality of the Most Holy Place, to ask Her for the power of the Holy Spirit, and lead all people around the world who are suffering from spiritual harvest to Mother, the source of the water of life” (Jn 7:37-39; Rev 22:17-19; Zec 14:7-8).

At the afternoon service, Mother poured out the latter rain of the Holy Spirit abundantly upon Her children through Her words of living water. She encouraged the members to “shine the light of life through the Passover all over the world, understanding the signs and prophecies about this age through disasters that are occurring throughout the world.” In addition, She blessed them, saying, “Be good and faithful children of God by giving the food of life to many dying souls and leading them to Zion, so that you can receive much love and reward from Heavenly Father” (Ex 12:10-12; Mt 24:3-14, 44-51; Isa 33:20-22) .

In this age when the wheat is gathered into the heavenly barn according to the prophecy of the Feast of Tabernacles, the members of the Church of God who have received a waterfall-like outpouring of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit are in a hurry to reap the spiritual autumn harvest, in order to quicken the glorious day when the heavenly Jerusalem temple is completed.
